One of Jason's better movies. While I liked his previous movie THE BEEKEEPER, I think this was less 'fun' and much darker and more intense and much better.
If you like your action movies with edge and gritty, you'll like this.

I think with a few more action scenes, a bigger budget and a change in the ending of the story-this could've been a really badass movie. As it stands? It's watchable.
The action that is here doesn't quite have the OOMPH I like. The sound effects were a bit dull for instance. But the blood and gore is something that keeps this film from being a total boring C-grade action flick.

I should mention, while Alien is my favorite movie franchise of all time-I'm much more of a fan of the original 1979 movie than Cameron's sequel. Don't get me wrong, Aliens is a great action film. One of the best. I re-watch it and I always enjoy it. But to me, there's magic in that first movie. The suspense works better, the set design and music is beautiful.
