  I had high expectations. I originally read the books at the start of secondary school and had been hearing whispers about an adaptation for years. The actors were great and costumes were amazing but it felt like it was missing so much of the plot, as if it had been a series they’d decided to turn into a movie after filming everything. It would have been far more suited to be a series, I think.
