nothing spectacular happened in this film. really, nothing at all happened aside from a handful of well-colored shots and a solid soundtrack that were both wasted by the absolute lack of character development, acting, writing, and plot. the trailer had us excited and there’s a fantastic idea here but the film missed 99% of its shots:(

when you drop a crate, "we have to throw them away." life is precious, fragile, and complicated, much like the Yi family in this breathtakingly purposeful film. a slow burn (no pun intended) that's intentional, emotional, and a look into a world that I have very little knowledge of (ah, cinema).
