when it comes to the horror, @moviemattk on here described it pretty well:
It’s going for more of a deeply unsettling existential crisis type of horror, and you almost have to mentally prepare yourself for it because it’s a draining (and also kinda cathartic) experience.

i was really liking the film until the horse scene happened and i thought, “well, that’s obviously got to be cgi”. i paused, looked it up online, saw that there’s actual animal abuse in this film, and decided to stop watching. honestly, i don’t care whether it’s a metaphor or what not, i can’t just support terrorizing animals for the sake of “art”
