Not for the faint hearted or hard hearted, a very real and painful depiction of what hopes and dreams migrants have in looking for a better life for themselves and their families in Europe. This movie holds no punches and is hard to watch at times, but don't look away. Within this story both the humanity and inhumanity of man (and I mean man, not woman) are revealed, we need to do more to look after each other

Russel Crowe is excellent at times in this movie and elevates considerably, the supporting cast are a little less convincing. Great premise of the aging cop who is in the early stages Alzheimer's and is asked to look at one of his old murder cases by a death row inmate, not a unique idea to use memory loss ( see Memento) to misdirect and confuse the viewer. I guessed the twist, but I enjoyed this none the less for thanks to Mr Crowe
