Incendies 2010
Watched this on reccy from a dear friend. The reccy is why we’re friends. The questions raised by this movie are profound. Abstract or relative? Is ignorance bliss? How far does a mothers love go? Can a child’s forgiveness stretch the same length? What about a siblings? And the backdrop of lebanese civil war provides the substance of answering. It’s easy to imagine a story quite similar to that told in incendies going on in Syria/Ukraine right now. I fear it will be a long time before I watch another movie as good as this.
