The Brutalist is a tale of the American dream in its 1st half, and the perversion of such a myth in its second, and (very unfunny/unoriginal pun ahead) is a monument that shines by its utter brilliance.
Where to start?
First of all while the film might feel intimidating by its runtime, it is one that flows perfectly and keeps a constant rhythm, and is a whole experience that isn't excruciating in length, quite the contrary.

I'm sad to honor David Lynch's passing with a slight dissatisfaction from this film. However, truly loving an artist is also to adore him in your subjective way and notably to see the qualities and flaws of his work. Of course, the myth behind the creator is a constance found with all important directors, and Lynch, even more after their death, but that does not suggest that his entire work is perfect (DUNE moment).
