Heart Eyes 2025
Such a funny thriller romcom (I had never seen these two genres be combined before so I did not know what to expect). Me and Dea laughed the whole way through. The jumpscares were exceptional, gore was creative, and they nailed every romcom stereotype with a fun twist at the end. All I kept thinking is “this is really good”.

as a romcom, 4/5! it was so hilarious. I’ve been meaning to watch it for a while but after finishing alchemy of souls yesterday, i knew only this could attempt to cure the hangover. i am obviously not married but i feel like this captured other people’s descriptions of marriage i’ve heard perfectly - incredibly infuriating but somehow you never want it to end. this was funny rich people satire in the way The Menu was , but it wasn’t particularly impactful for me. The plot twist was crazy but also makes me (and everyone who’s watched it) wonder if it would’ve been better for them to have been wrong all along.
Interesting allusions to good and evil, loved Grace’s sheer determination to *live*, and that one guy spending the whole movie on his phone was hilarious. I think this could’ve been more than it was but it was fun and the beginning was actually a likkle stressful.
