Kingdom of Heaven 2005
I’ve seen so many YouTube shorts of this movie that I finally gave in, but then I also made the mistake of watching a history buffs video absolutely ripping on it promptly after. Knowledge is a curse. Though what can I say I got a soft spot for Jeremy Irons, and don’t get me started on Eva Green’s first entry on screen, frankly sublime.
But alas Ridley this wasn’t Gladiator™️ and you and I are both still chasing that feeling.

They Shall Not Grow Old 2018
I think it’s crazy how everyone thought WW1 was gonna be some grand old adventure w a live band. It was not. Even more jarring was the English civilian sentiment. When the servicemen returned, these idiots still thought the poor lads were returning from a holiday in Ibiza. Besides that honestly a bit of tech masturbation from Peter here and the simultaneous narratives were slightly jarring and hard to follow but maybe that was the point or the limitation of the material who knows. Overall though a good watch I’m a sucker for this kind of stuff.
