    Rewatch #1

Crazy to lock back in on this and just let my jaw drop at the storytelling and timeline of it all. Christopher Nolan you’re a mad man.

I love the fact that Chris is also Soren from Good Boys. He should be in one coming of age movie every ten years until college graduation.

Seriously though, this was a beautiful film that accurately captures the feeling of that awkward time right before high school started. Losing friends, making friends, trying to fit in, girls, family. Madi was tripping, and Chris had every right to do what he did IMO.

RIP Gene Hackman. Absolute master of the craft.

A little back to back Frances McDormand never hurt anyone that’s for sure. Who knew little baby Wilem was so hot.

Anyways, fuggggggg the south, good movie. A really solid 4.

Edit: the shots of the FBI agents just posted up outside waiting for the Klan bruhs was just so sick and iconic. Half a star baby

    Really solid.

It did not have to be 3.5 hours long. HOWEVER, it was engaging the entire run time… for the most part. The first act was magnificent. Stunning camera work, a striking score, and just a masterclass from Pearce and Brody. Dare I say it could be another Cillian/RDJ situation but the academy would never allow that.

The second half drags and loses itself in the story but felicity jones steals the show with some really really powerful moments.…
