  there is nothing else like this because before the genocide this reality was unimaginable. and these short films - their beauty, tragedy, resilience - their very existence - are almost too much for me to receive. nor could I do justice with any words. for twenty two different directors to have created and revealed such intimate moments under the greatest oppression is not only immensely historic but revolutionary.

  I’m disappointed. I think the ending is what lowers it for me. 

  some funny parts sure, great set design, clever physical comedy/utilization of barbie lore. good acting - ryan gosling is always hilarious and so is margot and there is a lot of uniqueness here but

  holy shit this is what movies are meant to be. broke my tender little heart but also so beautiful and devastating in a cathartic way. love is the best thing in the world and also the hardest. amazing pacing and score and delivers some of the hardest life lessons in such a simple and gentle way. it’s so hard to consider what could have been, when is the right or wrong time, who is the right person, the importance of convenience and circumstance. my chest hurts. beautiful. we all deserve someone who stays.
