The Father 2020
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Anthony Hopkins and Elisabeth Colman put on an acting masterclass in this one. The set design adds so much to the uncomfortable and confused feeling that the viewer gets from the film, mirroring the experience of memory loss depicted in the movie.

2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
Part nature documentary, part celestial ballet, part sci-fi thriller, part crazy acid trip: it all adds up to something even grander than the sum of its parts. Not my absolute favorite Kubrick film, but absolutely genius and one of the most visually stunning movies of all time. Classic and gorgeous.
