  Honestly, Bong's English language films tend to be some of his weaker ones. However, I would say this might be his strongest english outing yet.

  There are clear shades of Okja, Snowpiercer and The Host here. This essentially feels like a remix of all those films, rather than something truly original. However, some decent satire, and a strong performance from Pattinson ties it all together.

  This movie definitely had potential, perhaps if the villain was given more characterisation and the very brief fight scenes were extended it could have been a more memorable romp.

  However there is fun to be had here, there is a healthy dose of quirky One Piece humour and the message of the film is endearing.

  If you've never seen it before, perhaps just go in with the mindset that it's just an extended filler episode. You'll probably have more fun that way.
