What even was this. XD I don't even know, but it sure was entertaining, even if it wasn't exactly supposed to be as funny as it was.

Genuinely not sure how to rate this one. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it had not been billed as an adaptation of The Haunting of Hill House. If it had just been its own thing, with nods or homages to the original novel or more of Jackson's work. Because that's kind of what it was. Very little connection between the novel and this show beyond names.

Ooh, boy!! That was just about as scary as the book it's based on. And actually surprisingly not a bad adaptation? Hill House continues to be the peak of terrifying haunted houses.
Some of the queer subtext from the book is missing, but not all which was a pleasant surprise. (That it was not all missing was the pleasant surprise, not that any was missing :P)

Really enjoyed this weird little film take on Dorian Gray. Using a filmed screen test for the painting was such a fun twist. I really enjoyed Belinda Bauer's performance of Dorian, and her descent from bright-eyed innocent ingenue to a corrupted and selfish force that will kill to keep her secret.
