  honestly..... least favorite work by Kaufman. Idk it really didn't do that much to me. There is always a chance that I should just watch it again but really idk Synecdoche New York and The Adaptation (the two that I've seen so far) were just more interesting and bold maybe. Maybe that's what I was missing form this movie, something beyond just "being john malkovich" but maybe that's me hoping for more or not seeing the different layers in here.

  Idk, should check out Thinking Of Ending Things some time.

  okay I'll give it a 4.5 but this is closer to a 4.2/4.25 cuz I still prefer Nausicaa. This is mostly a personal thingy cuz I just prefer the sci-fi elements of that movie and the roughness of the animation..

  This movie is super suepr cool though! it is so brutal for a ghibli film and it's so fierce in many ways. In a way its a more direct and specific call to action for living together the world and what we call "Nature" instead of outside of it or "above" it
