This film is loaded with political and social satire and it's pushed so much that it finally becomes a comedy, I think that was the intention. I catched many references but the main one was about the plot of Nausicäa.
The message is profound but the execution —I felt— not so much.
Liked the vibe of this film it emanates huge amounts of aura. Two things that took me off: 1) No Eurobeat. 2) Is Takumi acoustic?
As a cat person this really touched me. Starting with the world building and the deep lore it just simply presents as another element of the film, directing the attention to where the real matter is, the living creatures of this world. It shows the colossal journey of a different group of beings wanting to just survive a wild world and learning to collaborate despite their differences.

The first one defined a genre in animation. This one mastered it. It is great to see how well merged are the sentiments with the plot of the movie. It tells us about the process of growing up as a person, find a place in your environment and keep your loved ones close. Its message is really well expressed in the story. And I can't say anything new about how it is animated. The animation by itself evokes real emotions. You have to watch it by yourself.
