just finished the memoir. this is a completely disrespectful romanticization of the novel. obviously a movie will dramaticize any book but remembering how the movie played out while i read the book was infuriating and disappointing. these were REAL people, minus a couple of characters and their personalties and stories almost blasphemous. please please please read the memoir. it will enlighten you. and actually have a message/story worth learning, relating and appreciate.
