I am 24 years old. I grew up poor. My parents were tai chi instructors. We went on holidays sometimes (and yeah, I would fantasise about a summer romance). I don’t have children now and probably won’t for years (or ever).
So maybe you would expect me to relate to Sophie - young, queer, figuring it out, staring at a parent you can’t understand. And I do relate to her.
But really I can’t shake the feeling…
