I literally don't know what the difference is between watching this movie and just going for a walk. Actually most of my walks are more entertaining. This is not a film, it is like a sensory deprivation chamber that traps the viewer into a matrix of their own speculation, including all the anti-cathartic moments and self-directed frustration. It poses as providing something profound for the creatively predisposed yet shows no sign of a creator behind the work. It is like an alien supposing a separate metaphysical existence of "artists", inaccessible to the regular human, without itself having an understanding of art. FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!

an amazing movie, and juxtaposed with the rest of his more recent work, gave me the most fulfilling or whole experience Ive ever had w lynch. parts of this vindicate the most frustrating aspects of twin peaks -- those characters who seemed empty and lost there (which I suspect after watching this may have been due to an inability to show the absurdity and poetry of violence and intimacy cuz of tv rating system) are here full of emotion and honesty to ground their psychosis. a rly greatly woven work.
