I really liked it for a debut film. I don’t think The Omen is particularly memorable in the grand scheme of 70s horror/spooky Catholicism, but I like that cinematic style, and I think the film did a great job of emanating that. The director also seems really young, so I’m pretty excited to see how her career develops.

Alright I’m officially on the “Mia Goth is hot” train. Wouldn’t really call it a slasher though? Or even a horror film? Definitely more of a noir thriller. That doesn’t affect my enjoyment of it, but probably something people should know heading in if they’re going to be holding their breath the whole time waiting for the big scary slasher stuff.
Honestly, who could have seen that coming 🙄 maybe try being a little more heavy handed with the metaphor
