The Company of Wolves 1984
This as such a treat, and what movies ought to be. Fantasy movies look awful these days with the overuse of CGI. This was quintessential 80s dark fantasy with real animals, practical effects galore, and a soundstage I can just imagine set designers going absolutely giddy setting up. Delicious visuals, surreal storytelling, and the most grotesque werewolf transformation I have ever seen. I haven’t has this much fun watching a movie in ages.

Breakfast at Tiffany's 1961
Mickey Rooney's role in this is so terrible (and obviously extremely racist) I constantly forget that he's even in it, and it's a rude awakening every time. Him aside, I seem to feel differently about this movie every time I watch it, but last time I found it quite funny (especially the party scene in Holly's apartment... absolute chaos). I have no clue why anyone wants to be like Holly Golightly, though-- aside from her style and charm, she has very little going for her and doesn't treat people very well at all.

I loathed every character in this movie. There was absolutely nobody to root for. Everyone was a disastrously selfish idiot. The movie felt an hour longer than it was.
