  I read Wuthering Heights in AP English and after hating every second of Pride and Prejudice, I felt so seen in the obsession Cathy and Heathcliff had for one another as opposed to the letter writing and polite back handed disses of Mr. Darcy. Suffice to say I am a biased multiple time reader of the book with several favorite quotes and this is my favorite adaptation. There are changes but it’s so faithful to the source material and I love how feral Cathy and Heathcliff are in this version. It’s the best.

  An incredibly frustrating documentary with no call to action other than you have to join a community organization to save American democracy? I find it insulting to be lectured about the decline of American civil society by some of the people who are directly responsible for its further decline.   Finally an a24 film I hate. A film that mistakenly thinks it’s smart. Just because a film features rich characters suffering, minorities, and using the language of social justice correctly doesn’t make it intelligent or a cleaver social commentary. I found it to be a tedious slog with no redeeming qualities (except Lee Pace).

  The message appears to be don’t party with dipshits you could get killed.
