  A standard 50s musical biopic that personally didn’t do much for me. But I’m always happy to watch Thelma Ritter.

  One one hand, the film critic side of me is saying this is a story that’s been told countless times and the film doesn’t do too much to rise above its familiar beats.

  On the other hand, the proud CODA side of me is thrilled that there’s a film that features Deaf characters as imperfect, but funny and loving humans and shows some subtle details about being a CODA.

  It’ll be interesting to see how this film holds up in…
