“How does something like this even happen?”
We asked ourselves the same thing as the credits rolled 👍
Absolutely no suspense, weird-ass cuts, shit McGee characters, and creepypasta zombie monsters. Sad times

Expected an emotionally-charged thriller about a hostage situation, got Casualty if it was made about journalism. I didn’t really care if ABC got the story live or not, for one. No characters were fleshed out enough to be anything but villains (Palestinians), victims (Israelis), and heroes (the press). Sure, the newsroom had its own (brief) conversations about the morality of running a hostage story live and a verrry short quip about not pointing the terrorist finger at Arabs. That’s hardly…
Maybe it’s partly because I expected to be truly horrified and am a little bit delighted that I wasn’t… but I really liked this. Yadayada stuff about it subverting the haunted house genre bla bla - yes, that, but also it was just a fun concept executed nicely within an hour and a half. We love to see it.
Also Julia Fox! The way I gasped in the cinema
If you rate this movie 1 star you’re a try-hard
(Acknowledgment of the ending - perhaps a bit neat, but look, I’m a sucker for neatness sometimes.)
