Such a beautiful and heartbreaking portrayal of childhood. It perfectly captures how colorful the world looks from a kid’s point of view, how they’re able to find magic in the littlest of things, even as the world is crashing down around them. It gives me a sense of nostalgia for my own childhood that I don’t think could be replicated by any other piece of media.
