It has all the things I like, crying men, homoerotic subtext, catholic things I can sexualize, Stanley Tucci, poking at gender bullshit gently through shots of nuns doing all the hard work then overtly poking at gender in one of the most nuanced, unexpected ways I have seen on screen in a hot minute, AND it got so much attention from so many different groups of people because somehow everyone managed to not spoil the ending because that’s the whole point of the movie because it just doesn’t really matter but it DOES at the same time

The sets were so fun, the acting was superb, the costuming was so linen based, everyone was sweaty, the story was so good. It made me feel many things. The stark contrast of 1950s whatever the fuck to Nirvana. Daniel Craig playing his role so perfectly. New order playing as the main character…. Uh… Ponders??? Unreal.
