This is just Polanski, the convicted child rapist and sex offender, depicting his fear of being caught - before he was caught.
His true horror is not Carol’s worsening mental state but that women might fight and win against rapists. I find it laughable that people try and seek some greater meaning in this thinly veiled feminist piece.
It’s literally a rapist telling a story about rape. Why anyone cares about anything else in this movie is beyond me. The camera moved up and down did it?It’s also actually only has about 20 good minutes at the end. ‘Oh, but the lighting is good’.
