  Walked in knowing nothing, didn’t get it at first, then I got it, and bran and I talked about how it’s a good movie afterwards. Tbh I saw Akira for the first time earlier in the day too but Companion has been more on my mind than akria 😭 fiya flick

  A kind of ridiculous and trickling way to spend four hours, and an incredibly fun rewarding way to spend four hours.

   The movie keeps feeding you gumdrops to keep you smiling and invested. Whether it be an intriguingly composed shot, quick zoom/pan, unexpected reaction from a character, or just the beautiful set design (think a psychedelic Tatis “Playtime”). For what is at its core a science-fiction story, it doesn’t bog us down with a universe (or more) of meticulous detail…

  I felt a little disappointed watching, the first act was long and didn’t feel very fleshed out, though maybe it was purposeful. Performances were decent, as well as the payoff, but I don’t think I’d see this again.

  I watched this in theaters with my girlfriend and their mom (in 2017) and I was soooo excited to see it based off the trailers. The first 15 minutes were the trailer and then the movie was so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so bad. Saving grace was talking shit about it holding hands behind her mothers back, I was 16.
