I haven't seen something so life affirming, beautifully animated, simply told with a heartwarming story and a cast of lovable animals that don't crack wise but have more character and emotions that most mainstream animations.
Flow is a film you experience, let it wash over you. The animation style did take me a little while to get used to but once settled I was totally invested.

What is a funny premise is let down by a weak script that thinks it's way smarter than it is.
The can't feel pain schtick doesn't fill a feature and it's only saved by some great work by Quaid, Midhunter, Nicholson and the rest of the cast.
This suffers from not knowing where to stop, too many possible endings that frustrated.
A decent, fun watch but not that much better than Love Hurts.

'I'm doing it again aren't I, Sir? Jumping to conclusions. '

What a joyously brilliant film, a near perfect comedy whodunnit that is a self referential love letter to Agatha Christie that was to die for.
A note perfect cast delivering deliciously witty dialogue within a story that, as a mystery, hit all its beats cleverly winding up back at the start. It felt like it was made by Wes Anderson's British cousin, balancing the quirkiness with the humour.
Saoirse Ronan is hilarious as the over enthusiastic rookie, though there isn't a bad performance in this.
It's so much fun, played perfectly.

Dark, broody, rain soaked neo noir that follows a crime mystery involving corruption, the criminal underworld, vengeance and the struggle to find your purpose. Oh, and it's a comic book movie.
The Batman is everything the grown up me wanted it to be.
Filmed in shadows with the stench of villainy all over it, this didn't need the zany fantastical parts of comic book movies.
It almost felt black and white - with splashes of red - like the films…
