  Did I understand it? No? Did I thoroughly enjoy it? YES! 
  I mean I get the dream state and the haunting sensations and that they are caused by the awkwardness of the human experience. I love how awkward he is. So not aware of what to do, motivated by morality, by fear, by care, by empathy, but very pure in his actions! 
  Lynch’s shots are exactly those I would love to use were I a filmographer! So much fun. The music! the airiness! the feel!

  How can a movie be so real? The videocamera, the very kitch and tacky hotel, the second hand embarrassment of growing up.
  I know that it’s supposed to be a movie about their relationship and I felt that very deeply but I just want to take a moment to appreciate the details of childhood summer vacation. I felt like I was transported back in time. The swimsuit under the dress, the fan, the very bad hotel decor, the hair wrap, trying to put on sunscreen by yourself, playing chess and cards, longing to be 16, trying hard.
