Ambition (for the sake of being called ambitious) without substance becomes pretentiousness.
Hectic, hard to follow, almost impossible to understand, with 20 minute chapters feeling like 1 hour nightmares.
I would say spare yourself, but it's kinda like a car wreck: it's hard to look away.

Sam Mendes made the best war film of the decade. Everything about this film is borderline perfect, especially the work of the sound department and the cinematography (not surprising, Roger Deakins yet again blows our minds).
A definite must-watch, don't wait for the blu-ray release or anything, treat yourself (and your every sense) and watch it in a cinema!
