There’s a lot of potential here that just gets wasted due to a disappointing script. The emotional connection with Michelle and her brother starts out strong, but then kind of just flounders and fizzles out with an emotionally unsatisfying ending.
There are some really interesting characters that make up this cool world that the Russos’ created, but we just scratch the surface. I have no issues with the direction, the performances, or the cgi. the robot designs were all great…
These movies are absurd & I’ve definitely lost interest over the years, but they keep pullin me back in!!!
Nothing really new here, but This one was the best since probably Furious 6, maybe even Fast 5. It felt more grounded than the last couple - i use that loosely - and the stakes weren’t as crazy. I’m kinda checked out on an emotional level for these characters since noone really dies, but the action is great & these movies are just fun.…

Holy shit. I finally get the obsession people have with DDL (I do need to watch more of his films, that’s on me). He is amazing in this film. Just captures your full, undivided attention and you can’t look away as he transforms into this capitalist monster. What a fucking role & he gave a perfect performance. Shout out PD, as always! He is always great.
