A great movie in its own right but C.T. Dreyer's Passion of Joan of Arc is leagues ahead of this.
Quite documentary-ish
Bresson's minimalist style Contrasts with Dreyer's grandeur. Dreyer focuses on emotions of 19 y/0 but Bresson focuses on matyrdom.
