actually wild to see a Hungarian palace that I've stayed at be the set for this!
and I get the AI controversy but in their defense Hungarian is so hard. I cringed frequently when they mispronounced Tóth.
incredible that this was made for $10 million

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

torn between saying something profound about friendship and hobbits or the hands of the king being the hands of a healer or the many rich symbols throughout the film

    OR

just reminding everyone how Aragorn’s hotness exponentially decreases once he cleans up

    Grond! Grond! Grond!

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3

One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. There were 500 scenes of maximum 30 seconds each: essentially the whole movie was a montage. Tried to deal with Syrian and Ukrainian refugees, the immigrant experience, and gender identity, but gave about 15 seconds to each one. Joey Fatone runs around collecting old Greek men and they walk in slow motion like they’ve just exploded something. Just not good.

Things I thought while watching Mank:

    1. Ugh, now I'm going to have to watch Citizen Kane again.
    2. My very slow Hungarian washing machine did a whole load of laundry and this movie still has like an hour left.
    3. Amanda Seyfried is very good, especially when she's in a very feathery marching band outfit.
    4. BILL NYE!
    5. This movie is too dang long.
