Heat and Point Break vibes. The collateral and intergenerational damage of violence. Mature Jude Law is fantastic as the ramshackle, nose-bleeding FBI agent. As is Nicholas Holly as the icy leader.
MVP in my mind was Tye Sheridan as the local deputy. A character that could’ve easily been as throwaway and cliche as the rest of those supporting “marked for death” type roles. But the film is smart in the way it shows us the gradual and devastating influence of Husk’s character on his naïveté.
