If I'm reviewing Legend, I have to review this too.
Kind of the opposite of Legend with this film as it isn't as spectacular with its camera work and makeup (although its still very good by fantasy standards) but has a much stronger plot and characters.
You could say it's a bit of a LotR ripoff (at least the book anyway) but I'd say Peter Jackson may have been influenced by this when he was making his adaptions and in some ways I get more enjoyment from this than I do those films.

This film is kinda all over the place, there's not much of a plot and the acting is pretty over the top (although not necessarily in a bad way) but the visuals and practical makeup are amazing as well as the dungeons and dragons type setting.
