The movie is really great. It beautifully captures the feeling of inadequacy that women experience in all industries, let alone the entertainment industry. When I watched the scene where Sue hates Elisabeth, Elisabeth hates herself, and humiliates her on TV, I felt like I was in Elisabeth's mind. It didn't seem too far from reality. It's true that "The Substance" would work flawlessly if the rules were followed, but it's also true that following the rules and maintaining balance is impossible.
