    A genuinely good movie. Miles better than the original. I actually think it was more enjoyable having seen the original Twisters, since I was expecting the plot to unfold similarly.

    This movie took the potential from a very so-so movie and delivered what the original only attempted: the perfect blockbuster. I was hoping for awesome storms, some good laughs and enough plot that you cared the whole way through. Twisters had all that, and to boot, left out all the stuff we’re getting used to putting up with in big movies.

    Awful. Cast wasn’t terrible, but the scriptwriting, characters and storyline were atrocious. Every actor should be ashamed of accepting their role, especially Jessica Simpson, who is willingly objectified at every opportunity. Every odious plot point found some opportunity to visually exploit Jessica Simpson under the pretension that the storyline is actually about her character learning to be more independent. I’ve never seen anything so duplicitous. The scriptwriters should be ashamed to have written such trash.

    I will always love that final scene as the ship sails out of the beautiful bay and the first notes of “Into the West” begin to play. I wish that everyone in the theater waited to get up until after that credits song, because it deserves as much attention and reverence as the movie itself. Not just for the song, but for the moment to sit and let the story wash over you.
