This is in my top three worst movies. After Earth is at the very top, followed by Leave the World Behind and finally, Life. This does not mean Life is better than the others, because it most definitely is not.
The plot is just so deeply lazy and cliche. There are also quite a few plot holes.

It was very pretty to look at, but it felt like a Sam Levinson movie. I understand that it’s from a child’s perspective but it just felt so glamorized. I feel like we didn’t really get to know Cilla outside of her relationship with Elvis. We didn’t really get to see how she developed as an adult because so much time was spent on young Cilla. I didn’t like suggestive scenes because she was a child!! it’s okay to leave things up to interpretation. I just feel like the movie didn’t focus on her or her journey enough and i’m actually disappointed.
