the colors are neutral but really match the environment of every scene. not only is the cinematography great, but Bong Joon-Ho's attention to detail makes it to where non-verbal cues give away more about the plot than some of the lines. in reality, the lines are really just conversation—it's every character's actions and circumstances that make the movie. for 2 hours, every character is developed well enough without getting too sidetracked while the rest is left to the viewer's imagination
