  pros: i liked when he hit his head with the rock? and the dyke, Romantic themes idk, pretty visuals duh, abundance in a movie about death, heaven=immortality?, boyhood, bird poop

  cons: too many miyazaki motifs (felt like he was copying himself), mother as a child befriends son, characters’ closeness not believeable, i can’t tell if it’s the script or the translation that’s poorly done, the themes were served on a silver platter with a spoon🚁🚁🚁, story was kinda boringggggg and felt like a vehicle for cool art, super anti-climactic, angry rock of mysterious origin
