The intersectionality, environment, and storytelling of this docudrama need to be studied. It's a harrowing story told so unbelievably delicately that you end up empathizing with the perpetrator, seeing that she is also a victim. I spent the whole film craving an answer about why Laurence did what she did, wanting to understand her, but I guess that’s the point of the film. She doesn’t even understand herself or why she committed such a crime…
