Immaculate 2024
Not the best, not the worst. I knew almost nothing about this film going into it and was intrigued by the plotline although I wish they took all the secrecy and nefarious stuff going on a little further. It seems we only scratched the surface of everything going on at this convent. I enjoyed the set, costumes, and general plot line of the film. I found Sydney Sweeney to be distracting and not very well cast. Also too many jumpscares... Would I watch it again? No. Would I recommend it to a friend? Yeah sure why not.

Sigh. I wanted to love this movie.
There were moments where the slow burn camera angles and the jump scares worked and gave me an adrenaline bump but other than that the plot was pretty predictable (correctly guessed the entire ending about half way in) and I didn't leave feeling scared or disturbed.
I understand having a few nods to reference material or inspiration but completely ripping off of silence of the lambs (young female FBI agent with troubled past…
