satyajit ray, the man that you are for creating such a perfect piece of media. it's well-deserved to have had a still from this movie be displayed in the Family of Man MoMA exhibit.
admittedly, the three hour length does get tiresome about halfway through, but it's a gorgeous capture of bengali life at that time.
i'd like to frame the still shots of nature, and that one scene of the bracelet sinking in the pond was so beautifully crafted.
