With Claire Simon's previous documentary 'Our Body' and now 'Elementary' I get the feeling that she tries to show us utopian aspects of a society. The film gives me hope that we can raise children to be compassionate, and communicate their needs and feelings without resorting to violence.

Favorite at Dokleipzig so far. Every image felt like a painting that I could immerse myself in for hours, not for the sake of beauty but because I felt like I was able to breathe with the protagonist. Giving us time to sit through the pain, the grief, the joy and everything in between.

Such a strong film about solidarity between women and female resilience.

Ableism and cliché jokes at its finest. Poorly written, cheap jokes, incredibly predictable plot and female characters who bow down to the asshole the audience is supposed to feel with... Films like this one make me hate romcoms.
