I've not seen Get Real since watching it on video in 2001 or so, enjoyed it then and just as much today.
The winning part of the film is the believability of the characters, they all ring true in terms of actions and most of all dialogue.
A great watch that still has resonance today
Two thumbs up.
Loved this more adult take on characters from the X Men franchise.
Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman are solid gold together, their interplay going from raising a wry smile and chuckle to making you teary eyed.
A more earthy script (effing n jeffin) and a insane amount of violence for a 15 film keeps things at a more intense level.
Some great set pieces and top notch visuals.
God I loved this!
The horror tag associated with the film is completely misplaced, there are several instances of extreme violence but I wouldn't stay they are played out as horror set pieces.
What it is however is a deliriously funny black comedy, the twisted twice removed relative of Wood, Bennett and Leigh continuing the long line of British tradition for observational drama/humour.
Lost of quotable lines and laugh out loud situations.
The two lead performances (also the screenwriters) ,…
Kudos to Blumhouse for pushing at least some original premised scripts through their production company.
More a black comedy than a out and out horror film.
Lots to enjoy about it.
And another performance from a Brit you'd have no idea wasn't a native American ( lead actor Daniel Kaluuya )
