  Whether on a social-democratic or merely the aesthetic level, just being cathartic is not enough. The ending might be the worst, but to some extent, it’s the best part of the movie. It’s finished.
  Though the movie has already expanded from the play…I like the whale metaphor, but merely having it onstage is not enough. The choice of downplaying it but opening the possibility of sin/redemption may be a choice, but is there a possibility that the director can demonstrate both better? Definitely yes.
