Formally impressive, with its interesting set-pieces establishing the lopsided dynamics between Elvis and Priscilla, as they also present Priscilla as a ghost roaming the vast and uneventful spaces of Graceland. However, while Coppola’s intent in curating chronologised scenes on top of another to show her restrictive and monotonous experience is somewhat compelling, as the film went on, its effectiveness started to wane off and it eventually echoed this constrictions, making the film’s structure feel incoherent and arbitrary, rather than purposeful.…
