It felt good to be back in the Weyland-Yutani universe. It mostly nailed the look and sound. Tense and nasty when it needs to be. Personally I didn't find the callbacks forced in any way, I thought they were introduced quite organically.
First rewatch in many many years. I still remember the feeling I had coming out of the cinema after seeing it for the first time. I felt confused, dazed… but in a good way. My mind was racing with different theories, trying to piece it together. I saw it a couple of more times in the cinema, before several rewatches on dvd and Blu-ray over the years. And now on UHD.
