  it's hard to get into idk why but after an hour so it is very entertaining as the musical and a decent adaptation, but i find some casting choices and certain angles questionable

  it's a high quality film bit it has little to no depth. Was it expected for us to be surprised that people in highest clergy ranks are racists, transphobics or plotting childmen who know nothing about regular people? That disconnect was like the main thing with Catholicism ever since Vatican was a thing and Protestant reform happened.

  10/10 recommended if you want to fuck yourself up.

  Brilliant storytelling thanks to immense character building and perfect portrayal by the whole cast. No irrelevant side characters, no meaningless scenes, no details that disrupt immersion and no repetition of plot points. An incredibly rich and clean script that was translated into a quality film.

  As a side note soundtrack was really good as well and want to especially appreciate Claire Foy, i haven't been this fascinated with a performance in a long time.

  There are some ??? moments. It does not cross the line but I gotta say it comes really close. After watching poor things, this one is considerably more tame. Otherwise the story is quite interesting, it starts of by being a reminder of childlike wonder, but then takes a turn to explore themes more related to interpersonal relationships. I'm not usually a fan of child main characters, but this movie portrays actually interesting children characters. Overall an interesting experience, but I gotta tell you the kid next to me, who come to the theater with their parents did not like the movie at all.
